Memory Madness

Memory Madness is the system we have in place to encourage children to memorize scripture.  We have just recently switched to learning "chunks" of scripture, not just individual verses.  The children can earn "Bible Bucks" for successfully reciting the verses at the Memory Madness Booth.  This money can be saved to spend at the Memory Madness store which contains various prizes...from lollipops to Christian CD's and devotionals.  Our hope is that families will tackle these challenges together and will be learning scripture together!   

Here are the specifics:  

* Three times a year, a portion of scripture (or even a whole chapter) will be given for the kids to memorize at home. 

* Each Sunday after the 2nd service they can recite the next verses that they've learned in the sequence.  $5 in Bible Bucks are awarded for each portion they learn. 

* The Memory Madness store will also be open each week after the 2nd service.  

* If your children do not participate in the children's programs on Sunday mornings, they can still participate in Memory Madness!  Keep you eyes open for the upcoming challenge and they can participate as well!     

FALL CHALLENGE:

Galations 5:22-26

We will have a potluck and ice cream party on November 7th, for all the families or individuals who have memorized this passage on the "Fruit of the Spirit".
